Dexion solution solves compliance problem for Georg Fischer Piping Systems
Georg Fischer Piping Systems supplies high-quality components for the safe transport of water and gas in industrial, utilities, and building technology. It is a leading global supplier with over 60,000 plastic and metal products in its portfolio.
The company’s crane warehouse in Epe needed a refit to meet current guideline requirements and to operate more efficiently. As space was tight, they were very keen to maintain the number of pallet locations.
George Fischer drew up a shortlist of potential suppliers. Dexion emerged as the clear favourite as not only did their solution maintain the number of pallet locations, but by reconfiguring the space actually managed to increase the storage capacity.
Having spent time discussing their client’s specific requirements, Dexion recommended a 9 metre high-rise Narrow Aisle configuration complemented with VNA trucks. This would achieve the desired capacity and number of pallet locations without compromising safety.
As they have excellent relationships with external VNA truck suppliers, the Dexion team was able to coordinate the whole installation and to deliver the project to the satisfaction of GF Piping Systems.
