Customer: Danish Agro Shop
Location: Galten, Denmark
Products/ Services used: LS3 shelving
Danish Agro Group are integral suppliers to the agricultural industry, offering a wide selection of seed varieties for sowing, mixture of feed for the animals, along with liquid and solid fertilisers, and supplying machinery to the farming community.
Business need
After the demolition of the old building, a new larger facility was built in Galten. The new build incorporated a shop that is 4 times as large as the previous one, office facilities, and on the first floor included a canteen at one end and storage facilities at the other.
Our Solution
Due to an unfortunate experience previously with shelving that was unable to carry the load of the stored goods, they needed a robust solution to avoid the risk of collapsing. So, they contacted Storeteam, who are an interior design company for B2B and B2C companies, for advice on choosing the right solution. Storeteam recommended our LS3 shelving – a versatile and strong shelving system that can be loaded with up to 800kg per level.
LS3 Core Features:
- Heights: 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 mm (other heights on request)
- Depths: 450, 600, 750, 900, 1000 and 1200 mm
- Lengths: 1200, 1500, 1800, 2400 and 2700 mm
Annett Sau Rasmussen, Regional Manager at Danish Agro Shop, says: "We wanted to equip the first floor as buffer storage for our store and webshop. With a goods lift, we can easily move the goods from the buffer storage to the store when the need occurs."
Result
As a result, 15 bays of LS3 shelving were installed on the first floor, providing a suitable solution that met Danish Agro's requirements. The shelves reach up to a height of 2000mm and each bay is 1800mm long with chipboard shelves to ensure not just a sturdy place to store goods, but also provides plenty of space for the continuing growth of the business.
"We now have a great solution that works and can handle the heavier goods. The long shelves offer a good opportunity to utilise the space, with great accessibility too," explains Annett Sau Rasmussen.
