Gonvarri Material Handling (GMH) acquires Kaufmann Systems AG

Gonvarri Material Handling (GMH) has acquired a majority stake in “Kaufmann Systems AG”, a Swiss engineering company which offers a wide variety of storage equipment systems & solutions for automation projects.

KaufmannKaufmann Systems AG was founded in 1994 by Margrit and Bertram Kaufmann and is based in Hitzkirch, Swizerland, located between Zürich and Luzern. Their key distribution channel is to System Integrators with a regional focus on Switzerland and Germany.

During this time, they have managed to build a strong team with a wide expertise in sales, design and project management of storage systems for automated warehouses, with a special focus on self-supporting racking (High Bay, Rack Clad/Silo) projects.

Over the next two years, GMH will acquire the remaining stake in Kaufmann Systems until reaching a 100% ownership.
